Byoi terms of service

A simple agreement for anyone managing an AI project on Byoi: the product organizes your work, but the project, Git, and decisions remain yours.

updated 2026-07-10

These terms explain how to use Byoi, which responsibilities remain with you, and how the product preserves the BYO thesis: your AI, your data, your config. Use it as a quick reference before connecting a real repository.

Your content remains yoursAI suggests; humans confirmGit is the project source

1. What Byoi is

Byoi is a web tool for developers and founders building software with AI agents. The product organizes cards, decisions, context, knowledge, prototypes, and generated prompts for coding agents.

Byoi sells interface, organization, and orchestration. It does not sell ownership over your project.

2. Account and access

You need an account to use the product. Login confirms identity. Git access is a separate authorization, granted when an action needs to create or read repositories.

You can create your account with email and password or sign in with GitHub or Google. When you sign up with email and password, we send a verification link before unlocking full access.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and not sharing access with people who should not operate your projects.

3. Your content

Project content is yours. Cards, decisions, context, knowledge, prototypes, and versioned configuration live in the Git repository authorized by you.

By using Byoi, you allow the application to read and write those files when you take actions in the product. Byoi does not receive a broad license to sell, train models on, or reuse your content outside service operation.

4. AI and human responsibility

AI in Byoi suggests, organizes, summarizes, and generates prompts. It does not decide for you. Repository writes require an explicit user action.

You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before applying changes to code, product, contracts, security, or any other sensitive context.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Byoi to break into accounts, access third-party data, automate abuse, bypass plan limits, or compromise user isolation.

  • Use the product only for your own or authorized projects.
  • Do not put keys, tokens, or credentials in the repository.
  • Do not bypass billing, rate limits, or Git permissions.

6. Plans and billing

The free plan exists to be genuinely useful for solo developers. Paid plans charge for volume, future collaboration, and operational convenience, never for the individual basics to work.

Canceling the service does not remove content from your Git repository.

7. Portability

Your project does not depend on a special export. Operational project content is already in Git as Markdown, JSON, and allowed assets.

You can clone the repository, open it in an editor, review history, move it to another workflow, and keep using it outside Byoi.
